21-year-old hero of the 44-day Patriotic War Jamil Mammadli... Jamil, who was drafted last summer, served on the frontline. He rushed to battles since the first days of the war, fought in the directions of Fuzuli and Khojavand. He reached martyrdom in the battles for the liberation of Fuzuli.

His mother Aygun Mammadova says that she is proud of her son: "When he called, he always said, "Mother, I have a weapon like Mubariz Ibrahimov's." He was proud of that. My son is a brave man, hero. I am proud of my son."

Jamil was shot dead by a sniper while defending his comrades-in-arms. He was awarded the "For the sake of the Motherland", "For the liberation of Fuzuli" and "For the liberation of Khojavand" medals.
