Ali Naghiyev, Elchin Guliyev meet with Armenian counterparts

Chief of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan Republic, general-colonel Ali Naghiyev and director of the National Security Service of Armenia Republic Armen Abazyan held a meeting on January 8, 2021, in a neutral area on the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border and on January 10, in Vorotan and Shurnukh human settlements of Armenia's Sunik province. 

According to the PR Department of Azerbaijan's State Security Service, chief of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan Republic Elchin Guliyev and the head of the Border Service of the relevant country took part in the last meeting.

Issues regarding the investigation of the incidents that took place at the state border, security of Nagorno-Karabakh of Azerbaijan Republic and the territories liberated from occupation, identification of the burial places of the corpses in the battle zones and hostage swap, as well as investigation of the fate of those who went missing or were taken hostage in the First Karabakh War and the Patriotic War, were discussed at the meetings. 

At the same time, it was highlighted that complying with the ceasefire set in accordance with the trilateral statement dated November 10, 2020, serves the interests and security of both peoples, as well as the Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Karabakh.
