24-year-old Kanan Babayev is one of those who swore to defend the Motherland at the cost of his own life. He volunteered to go to the war.

Originating from the generation of the Fidayevs, Kanan's grandfather's name was given to him as a surname. He is one of the two heroes of the Fidayevs. Like his cousin Nijat Fidayev, he also went to the frontline as a volunteer.

On October 5, Kanan went to trainings and shortly after, took his position in the trenches.

He says that he was wounded in the battles for Shusha: "I got injured on November 6 in Shusha, Dashalti. On the night from November 5 to 6, we attacked, and I was wounded there. We all had one objective - to liberate our lands. It was the biggest gift for us."

Kanan has been awarded 4 medals for the liberation of Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil and Lachin for demonstrating heroism. The greatest success of our warrior, who is originally from Gubadli, is to put an end to his father's 28-year-longing.

The war veteran's father Fazil Fidayev heard the news about the liberation of Gubadli from his son: "He used to say, "Probably, I would go to Gubadli first." It happened so. One day, I received a call. He said, "Father, I am in your land." He did not give detailed information. He said, "Probably, I am walking in the places you used to walk in. We are grateful to them for making us experience these feelings."

One of the heroes of the Patriotic War is also chief lieutenant Ramil Karimov. The 30-year-old officer, who fought in the battle in the direction of Jabrayil on October 8, celebrated the victory together with other soldiers in the liberated territories.

"After Jabrayil, we entered the battles for Gubadli. After the liberation of Gubadli, we remained at its defense, and on the night from November 9 to 10, approximately at 02:00 o'clock, we got joyful news," R. Karimov recalls.

Sabuhi Babayev is also one of those who wrote the heroic history during the 44-day war. The 20-year-old hero began battles from Murovdagh. Later, he went to Jabrayil: "After we fought in the directions of Fuzuli, Hadrut, we were sent to Khojavand. I got injured in the direction of Shusha. No one ran away. Everybody went forward."

For showing heroism, Sabuhi has been awarded the awards for the liberation of Khojavand, Shusha. His cousin Elvin Babayev, who has been awarded the medal "For the liberation of Aghdam", has also demonstrated bravery for the liberation of our lands. Now, the Babayevs are proud of the heroism of their children.

Each of them has left their flesh and blood on the battlefield. Now, we are preparing to return to our lands through the path our heroes, who have cleared the Azerbaijani lands from the enemy, turned dreams into reality, liberated Karabakh from the occupation, have paved.
