“Mozalan” returns to screen

The 50-year-old “Mozalan” satirical cinema-journal has returned to air.

According to the Social Media and PR Department of “Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting” CJSC, the “Mozalan” satirical cinema-journal will be broadcast since April after the long break on the eve of its 50th anniversary.

It is noteworthy that early this year, the decision to revive “Mozalan” was made at the joint initiative of Azerbaijan Television and the Ministry of Culture. At the initial stage, the videos made in the “Mozalan” studio over the last 5 years and not broadcast on any television before will go on air. These editions are planned to go on air in April and May. New videos will also be shot within two months. New videos will be shot based on the joint project of the Ministry of Culture and AzTV.

The author and editor of 8 critical videos to be made is Ilgar Fahmi; the head of the creative crew from the “Mozalan” studio is Alisattar Guliyev. In the future, it is planned to involve other scriptwriters in shootings. Directors of videos will also change in accordance with “Mozalan”s traditions.

The first edition of “Mozalan” will be broadcast today, on April 12 at 21:30.

It should be noted that the “Mozalan” satirical cinema-journal was established in 1971 under the “Azerbaijanfilm” cinema studio.

The purpose of the cinema-journal is to fight against negative cases, deliver public problems in a satirical language.
