"Yesterday, we had an opportunity to communicate with each other in an unofficial format, discuss a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, regional problems. Today, we are continuing our dialogue," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the one-on-one meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

The head of state noted: "I am very glad of the development of the relations between our countries. We have brought our relations to such dynamics that we see development in all the directions, solution to all the issues agreed. Our mutual visits are of regular nature. I have renewed in my memory my visits to Belarus and Your visits to Azerbaijan. All these show the existence of close mutual political relations between our countries, high-level trust and goal-orientedness. Thus, we see good outcomes within the framework of the mutual economic activity. Last year, despite the pandemic, our trade turnover increased; the export from Azerbaijan to Belarus also rose. Therefore, today, we will discuss in detail the issues related to the industrial cooperation. In accordance with our joint decision, the industrial enterprise in Ganja has been operating for a long time."

President Ilham Aliyev also highlighted that he wanted to discuss the Karabakh issue with his Belarusian counterpart: "I would like to discuss with you the issues regarding the restoration of Kabarakh as well. We know about the experience of Belarusian companies creating agro-industrial complexes in your country. Therefore, this issue is important in terms of the restoration of the territories liberated from the occupation.

It is pleasant that we will continue to support each other at international organizations. Our relations are far away from any problems."
