Special award created in name of journalist Maharram İbrahimov, cameraman Siraj Abishov

The awarding ceremony of the winners of the 25th "Zoom" International News Video Contest has been held in Turkey's Ankara by the Turkish News Cameramen Association.

The special award created in the name of "AzerTag" correspondent Maharram Ibrahimov and Azerbaijan Television's cameraman Siraj Abishov, who became martyrs as a result of getting blown up by a landmine in Kalbajar on June 4, has been presented at the ceremony. 

It has been noted at the presentation ceremony that along with Turkey, a total of 105 videos from foreign countries, including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Brazil, have been submitted to the 25th "Zoom" International News Video Contest. 

Awards have been presented to the winners in 9 categories at the event. The videos, that stood out, reflect the events taking place in various regions and hot spots of Turkey and the world. 

Employees of Turkey's influential NTV, "Haber Turk", "Haber Global", "A Haber" TV channels have been awarded for covering the 44-day Patriotic War in Karabakh.

The special award created in the name of "AzerTag" correspondent Maharram Ibrahimov and Azerbaijan Television's cameraman Siraj Abishov has been presented to Azerbaijan Television's correspondent Anar Shushali and cameramen Ilkin Mehdiyev and Dashgin Abdullayev. 

Head of the Communications Department of the Administration of the Turkish President Fahrettin Altun, who presented the award, has highlighted that the crimes committed by the Armenians in Karabakh have been delivered to the world community due to the hard work of journalists, cameramen and photojournalists.
