"Azerbaijan is not Azerbaijan 30 years ago," said Turkish historian Ibrahim Tellioghlu on Azerbaijan Television's "Main topic" talk show.

According to him, the great victory obtained in Karabakh has changed the balance in the region: "Everybody has seen that Azerbaijan is not Azerbaijan 30 years ago. At present, the country is much stronger from economic, political, international relations points of view. Now, no country should make plans in the Caucasus without taking Azerbaijan and its friends into consideration. Azerbaijan's triumph has also had a great impact on Turkey. So far, we as intelligents have been using the expression "one nation, two states". During the war, we became sure of it once again. This is the reflection of our brotherhood."

Furthermore, he also noted the support of the Turkic Council member states to Azerbaijan. "30 years after gaining independence, the Turkic Council member states came to consensus on one issue. That is the righteous stance of Azerbaijan on the Karabakh issue. This is a very important nuance, as so far, those countries could not express support for us in some areas for some reasons. However, the Karabakh victory has shown that those countries can gather around one table and make joint decisions. Decisions at the Turkic Council are made not based on the majority of votes, but unanimously. On this issue, we have witnessed that all the members states from Hungary to Kazakhstan have supported Azerbaijan. We have become one nation, 6 states," Ibrahim Tellioghlu highlighted.

The Turkish historian also touched upon the importance of Georgia's support for Azerbaijan during the war, ability of the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia cooperation to change the balance in the region and significance of further strengthening this cooperation.
