"How can the Azerbaijanis and Armenians build mutual relations? I think that it will mainly depend on the will, wisdom of politicians. I consider that we should be active both here and in Yerevan. Surely, if the Armenian side wants it," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the international conference entitled "New vision to the South Caucasus: development and cooperation after the conflict" held at ADA University.

"We do not know what their intentions are; it should be prepared. I have said numerous times: We consider that the conflict page has already remained in the past. We have not received any message from the Armenian side regarding the possibility of a peace agreement. The Armenian Prime Minister is silent. The Armenian Foreign Minister is aggressive. Currently, Armenia is not able to prevent the aggressive attitude against Azerbaijan. They should recall what happened during the war. The Armenian opposition is in panic. Anti-Azerbaijani, anti-Turkish sentiments are the biggest issue like before," the President noted.

Noting that the elections in Armenia would be based on anti-Azerbaijani, anti-Turkish sentiments and vengeance ideas, the President highlighted that Azerbaijan's position is clear, and we are ready for that: "The former IDPs from Aghdam and other cities will witness with their own eyes what the Armenians have done to their lands, graves of their beloved ones, religious monuments. We are all human beings, we all have feelings. We cannot hide them, we cannot control them. However, sometimes, it is hard. I cannot tell what kind of feelings the Azerbaijani IDPs will experience after visiting these areas. If Armenia gives a positive signal, wants to build relations, we are ready to do our best."
