As previously reported, Creative Association Azerbaijantelefilm of Closed Joint-Stock Company Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting has finished the shooting of new television film, dedicated to the outstanding Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi.

This project in the framework of “Nasimi Year” tells about the last night before execution, spent by Nasimi in dungeon. Film is based on the eponymous poem of Rasul Rza. One of the interesting moments of the film is that characters of three completely different Azerbaijani poets – Nasimi, Mirza Alekper Sabir and Rasul Rza – appeared in one cadre on the same stage.

Production directors People’s Artist Ramiz Hasanogly and Nazim Mammadov, camera director Merited Arts Worker Eldar Mammadov, artistical director Rafael Alizadeh, makeup artist Elbrus Vakhidov. The role of Nasimi is played by Merited Artist Elshan Rustamov. The film also involved Merited Artist Vidadi Aliyev, actor Vusal Murtuzaliyev and others.
