In response to the large-scale provocations committed by Armenian armed forces along entire length of the front, the Azerbaijani Army on September 27, 2020, launched a counter-offensive which then dubbed as “Iron Fist”. The 44-day war has put an end to the almost thirty years of occupation and ensured the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The bright victory achieved under leadership of the Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev has been written in the history of Azerbaijan in golden letters.

The glorious Azerbaijani Army liberated Garadaghli, Khatunbulag, Garakollu villages of Fuzuli district, and Bulutan, Malikjanli, Kamartuk, Taka and Taghaser villages of Khojavand district. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a post on his official Twitter account in this regard.

In order to ensure the safety of the civilian population, the missile system of Armenian armed forces deployed to launch positions was disabled as a legitimate military target by an accurate preventive strike of Azerbaijani Army units.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Armenian armed forces deployed another operational-tactical missile system with ballistic missiles in the border regions of Armenia near the occupied Kalbajar region of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijan Army units destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armenian armed forces in the direction of the Fuzuli district of the front.
