A bust of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, was unveiled at Azerbaijan's Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
The opening ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan's Ambassador Rapil Zhoshybayev, Uzbekistan's Ambassador Saidikram Niyazhodzhayev, Tajikistan's Ambassador Alizoda Nazirmad, Belarus' Ambassador Sergei Molunov, Chairman of the Council of the People's Assembly of Kyrgyzstan Almambet Matubraimov, Chair of the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan Kanybek Imanaliev, and Director of the Heydar Aliyev School Kanykei Alymkulova.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Latif Gandilov, stated that the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev continues to grow stronger in the hearts of Azerbaijanis year after year.
“In the 1990s and early 2000s, he achieved stability. Thanks to this stability, we were able to develop economically and strengthen our military-political potential. When no one believed, Heydar Aliyev believed that we would liberate our occupied territories. He instilled this belief in the hearts of our people. President Ilham Aliyev fulfilled Heydar Aliyev's will to liberate Karabakh,” the ambassador noted.
According to Gandilov, there are specific agreements between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan in the field of energy. “Within the framework of COP29, important documents related to green energy were signed between Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan in Baku. As far as I know, the issue of oil supply from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan is currently being addressed. During the visit of the energy ministers of both countries, under the directives of the presidents, this issue was discussed. The resolution of this matter is progressing successfully,” the diplomat emphasized.
“Military cooperation is developing very well. As you know, this year our Minister of Defense visited Bishkek, and your Minister of Defense visited Baku. Active political dialogue is taking place at all levels,” he added.
“Another important issue is the use of the transit potential of the two countries. With the completion of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, this potential will increase significantly,” the ambassador concluded.
