The information circulated on social media regarding citizens over the age of 65 being fined for going outside has been clarified.

Employee of the Rapid Police Regiment Ramiz Kheyirbayov has said during the live stream on the air of AzTV's "News" information program that the information is groundless: "This is false information. Such a case has not happened. Those people are enlightened, if necessary, we help and accompany them home."

It is noteworthy that to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Operative Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers has made a decision to impose a special regime in Azerbaijan. In accordance with the decision, citizens over the age of 65 are prohibited to go outside.
