The next edition of Azerbaijan Television’s “Main Topic” program is dedicated to the pollution of the Okhchuchay river flowing through Zangilan region’s territory with industrial waste by Armenia.

According to AzTV’s Social Media and PR Department, to prepare the next edition of the “Main Topic” program, the Television’s “Trench” filming crew has installed its cameras on the shore of Okhchuchay flowing through Zangilan region’s territory - in the newly created Eastern Zangazur Economic Zone.

The guests of the program are head of the department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Ragub Mirzayev, professor Farda Imanov and ecologist Samir Isayev. They will discuss the current situation of the Okhchuchay river contaminated with industrial waste by Armenia.

As known, Okhchuchay is one of the rivers intensively polluted by Armenia. It is mainly contaminated with the waste from the Gafan and Gajaran mountain-mine industry. The water of the river is so polluted that no creature lives here. Its water was used in the irrigation of lands in Zangilan region, and those lands have also got poisoned. The products cultivated on that soil are also poisoned.

Discussions around the above-mentioned problems will be held on July 12 at 22:00 on Azerbaijan Television’s “Main Topic” program presented by Tofig Abbasov.
