Javad Ibadov is one of 2, 783 people who have chosen martyrdom for the sake of the Motherland.
When he was a child, his mother used to call him “my little hero”. However, it would not even cross her mind that one day, her son would grow up and become one of the heroes who would put an end to the 30-year longing of Azerbaijan and become a martyr for the sake of the Motherland. Javad Ibadov was born on December 10, 1996, in Masalli’s Digah village. Despite looking quiet on the outside, he was very combative on the inside. His parents have raised him in a very patriotic manner. After finishing secondary school, he went to the army. He used to tell his father that the love for the Motherland went through military service. Therefore, after completing the military service, he volunteered to serve in the military.
His father Jabir Ibadov recalls the dialogue with his son at their last meeting: “When he came last time, he said he would cut the carotid artery of the Armenians as a wolf. With my mouth, with my teeth…”
His grandfather Khanoghlan Ibadov says that his grandson Javad is the decent successor of his generation: “My generation has always been combative. I am grateful and proud that my grandson has continued this way and died for the sake of the Motherland.”
His comrades-in-arms used to call him “Ibad”. He became a favorite of all soldiers and officers due to his friendliness, sincerity, gentleness and mainly, his bravery. When the Patriotic War started, he first fought for the liberation of Murovdagh, then, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Hadrut. He showed courage in the liberation of several heights. He died as a result of the shrapnel wound he received during the battles for another height in Hadrut.
Javad has sacrificed his life without blinking an eye. The Motherland was both the dream and the love of our hero. The brave, fearless, courageous son of the Motherland has obtained an eternal throne in our hearts for his dream and love. Rest in peace, my 24-year-old brave martyr… Both your love and dreams are entrusted to these people…
