On December 29, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on awarding servicemen of the armed forces of Azerbaijan Republic with the medal “For the liberation of Sugovushan”.
In accordance with the order, 3, 572 servicemen, who participated in the battles for the liberation of Sugovushan village of Azerbaijan Republic from occupation and demonstrated bravery and heroism, have been awarded the medal “For the liberation of Sugovushan”.
Two of the servicemen awarded with the medal are general-mayors, 16 – colonels, 69 – colonel-lieutenants.
