People's Writer of Azerbaijan Musa Yagub has died.

According to Azerbaijan Writers Union, the People's Writer has died today in Ismayilli region at the age of 84. 

Musa Yagub will be buried near his wife's grave at Buynuz village cemetery of Ismayilli region. 

It is noteworthy that Musa Yagub was born on May 10, 1937, in Ismayilli region's Buynuz village. After finishing Goychay pedagogical school, he worked as a teacher at Tirjan secondary school (1957-1958), as a teacher and director at Buynuz village primary school (1958-1967). In 1967-1973, he received distant education in the Philology Faculty of Azerbaijan University of Languages. At that time, he was the director of the school. After moving to Baku, he worked as the deputy director at the Fiction Promotion Bureau of Azerbaijan Writers Union. In 1974-1978, he worked as the director of the Poetry Department of "Azerbaijan" journal. He was also the editor of the "Workaholic" newspaper which is published in Ismayilli region. 

He started his literary activity in 1957 by publishing the poem "Two souls, two worlds" in "Azerbaijan" newspaper. 

In accordance with President Ilham Aliyev's order dated May 25, 2019, he was awarded the title of "People's Writer" for his service in the development of the Azerbaijani culture.
