First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has made a post in connection with September 27 - Remembrance Day.

The post cites: 

"Dear sisters and brothers!

Today, we commemorate the martyrs of the Patriotic War. We commemorate our heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Glorious Victory. They have destroyed the occupant and restored our country's territorial integrity with the help of their fearlessness, courage, firm willpower and high moral by demonstrating true patriotism and loyalty to the Motherland. I express my gratitude to the parents who have raised and brought up such brave sons who have been engraved in the history of the Azerbaijani state forever. We commemorate the innocent citizens who lost their lives during the war. May all our martyrs rest in peace. May Great God always protect our people!"
