"When we visited the territories liberated from occupation with our ambassador compatriots, they saw scope of destruction with their own eyes," said Assistant to the Azerbaijani President Hikmat Hajiyev at the conference on the 44 day Victory road.
H. Hajiyev noted that Azerbaijan respons to these actions with construction: "For example, Azerbaijan should reconstruct 9 cities, which were completely destroyed. Azerbaijan's suggestions to Armenia are obvious. The Armenian community should also change socially, psychologically, should accept living with neighbors in a peaceful condition. If such a peace agreement was signed between France and Germany after World War II, why should not it be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia? We call on the international community to mobilize its efforts in this direction."
