Sweden promised Türkiye not to support organizations declared terrorist by Ankara and to provide it with all possible assistance in the matter of European integration, citing excerpts from the document on which an agreement was reached between the two countries.

As a result of the agreement on these issues, the Turkish side agreed to submit the protocol on the admission of Sweden to NATO for ratification by the parliament.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that after meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Lithuania, the Turkish leader agreed to send a protocol on Sweden's accession to the alliance to parliament as soon as possible.
