President: "Our natural gas will be at EU border in several days"

"The energy security is the traditional topic of cooperation with the European partners. We have successfully implemented all the main transnational energy projects, and in several days, our natural gas will physically be at the border of the European Union," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev while receiving the delegation headed by Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák.

The head of state stressed that this is an obvious achievement in the field of cooperation between a number of countries and the EU.

"As you know, Azerbaijan and the European Union traditionally hold the Consultation Council of the Southern Gas Corridor. We have already held the 5th meeting. The next meeting will be organized in February of next year. This cooperation format is beneficial. Definitely, there are also many other issues connected with our cooperation. As a result of the liberalization of the visa regime, now, those, who come from Slovakia, have easy access to Azerbaijan. I got very happy when I heard that you were opening an embassy in our country. This is a very positive indicator. I have also instructed my team to work in the same direction. Thus, we will also have a presentation, and surely, it will help find new opportunities for cooperation," the President highlighted.
