The Health Ministry of Azerbaijan Republic and the State Agency for the Compulsory Medical Insurance have released a joint statement in connection with those, who have arrived from China's Wuhan city, where the coronavirus was first discovered.

It is noted in the statement that special medical facilities have been allocated for keeping under medical observation those who pass through the border checkpoints.

"Several students, who arrived in Azerbaijan from Wuhan city on January 30, are under medical observation in those medical facilities. According to doctors, no coronavirus symptoms have been identififed in those students. After the quarantine date expires, the students will be discharged,” the statement reads.

Baku office of the World Health Organization, Health Ministry of Azerbaijan Republic and State Agency for the Compulsory Medical Insurance note that no coronavirus has been observed in the territory of Azerbaijan.
