The Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan has revealed the statistics of the civilians, who have died or been injured, as well as the insfrastructure damaged as a result of the shelling of Azerbaijan's residential points by the Armenian armed forces at the instruction of Armenia's military-political leadership that continues to harshly violate the norms and principles of international law.
According to the information of the Prosecutor General's Office provided as of October 5, 2020, as a result of the shelling of Azerbaijan's residential points by the Armenian armed forces, 24 civilians have died, 121 people have been injured. Besides, as a result of the heavy artillery and missile shelling of the Armenian army, 306 houses and 56 private properties have been damaged.
It is noteworthy that Armenia has harshly violated the 1949 Geneva Convention and its additional protocols, the decisions and resolutions of the UN Security Council by shelling Azerbaijani cities and densely populated residential areas which are far away from the areas of the military operations.
