Active coronavirus patients detained in public places

Measures are underway in connection with the special quarantine regime imposed to prevent the mass spread of COVID-19.

According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, on December 22, employees of the Interior Ministry detained 29 active coronavirus patients in public and returned them home.

Moreover, a criminal case has been launched against 19 people in accordance with Article 139.1.1 of the Criminal Code. Investigative measures are underway.
