An audio recording in connection with the mass infection of children with the coronavirus in Azerbaijan has been circulated on WhatsApp.
According to the claims, the hospitals designed for the coronavirus treatment are equipped with beds for children. It is noted in the audio recording that the new strain of the coronavirus is spread mainly among children and leads to death. According to the statement of TABIB, the new strain of the coronavirus has not been registered in Azerbaijan yet. Therefore, the circulated audio recording is a rumour, which purpose is to cause agiotage in the society. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has refuted the information claiming that special beds have been set up in the modular hospital in Zigh.
Moreover, starting from today, the vaccination of people over the age of 65 has been launched.
