A meeting between "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC and "Georgian Railways" SC has been held.
According to "Azerbaijan Railways", chairman of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC Javid Gurbanov has spoken about the prospects of the existing cooperation relations.
He has highlighted the importance of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway in transit transportations. He has noted that the purpose of strengthening the activity of the projects such as "North-South", "South-West", International Trans-Caspian Transport Route is to increase the transit potential of the participating countries.
Director General of "Georgian Railways" Stock Company David Peradze has spoken about the oppurtunities to enhance the cooperation. He has said that Baku-Tbilisi-Kars is of international importance and that this project makes a huge contribution to stability in the region, friendship between the peoples and economic development.
Afterwards, a cooperation protocol has been signed between the heads of the railways of the two countries.
