One year passes since the liberation of Jabrayil region from occupation.
Jabrayil region, that was under the Armenian occupation for nearly 30 years, regained freedom on the 8th day of the 44-day Patriotic War. The brave soldiers of the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief put an end to this longing sacrificing their lives.
The Armenians have destroyed everything in Jabrayil region which they occupied on August 23, 1993. They looted the people's property, historical monuments of architecture. The Khudafarin bridges, mausoleums, temples, mosques were destructed, forests were burnt. During the Horadiz operation carried out under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev in 1994, 21 villages of Fuzuli, Horadiz settlement, as well as Jabrayil's Jojug Marjanli village were liberated. Despite the fact that this village remained under occupation only for several months, Armenian barbarians turned this place upside down. It was impossible to settle here due to the fact that Lalatapa was under the Armenian control. After the April victory in 2016 and after the Lalatapa height was liberated, the security of Jojug Marjanli was ensured. In accordance with the orders of President Ilham Aliyev, the construction works were launched in Jojug Marjanli, natives of Jabrayil returned to their land. It was the beginning of the great victory and great return.
President Ilham Aliyev said on March 31, 2017: "The April battles are our glorious victory. These battles demonstrate that the Azerbaijani people and state will never put up with the occupation and restore its territorial integrity no matter what."
The Patriotic War of 2020 proved it.
