May 28 may be declared the Independence Day in Azerbaijan.
It is reflected in the bill entitled "On the Independence Day" which has been included in the agenda of today's session of Milli Majlis' (Parliament) Committee of Legal Policy and State-building.
In accordance with the bill, October 18, which is marked as the Independence Day, will be the Day of the Restoration of Independence.
Both days will be non-working days.
It is noteworthy that currently, May 28 is marked as the Republic Day and is a non-working day. In turn, October 18 is marked as the Independence Day, and this day is considered a working day.
