World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics to kick off in Baku today

The World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics is to start in Baku today.

Slated to be held at the National Gymnastics Arena, the event will last for three days.

Azerbaijan will be represented by Arzu Jalilova, Zohra Aghamirova in individuals events and Gulu Aghalarzada, Laman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Zeynab Hummatova, Yelizaveta Luzan and Darya Sorokina in group events.

The competitions will involve 140 athletes from 33 countries. The athlete and the team that get the highest points will receive the traditional AGF Trophy Cup.

The event will be the 9th World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Baku. Azerbaijan hosted the world championship in this sport in 2005 and 2019.
