The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia, Jeyhun Bayramov and Sergey Lavrov, has kicked off in Baku.

During the meeting the sides will discuss the prospects of development of bilateral cooperation between the countries, as well as the relevant regional issues.

Lavrov's visit to Baku is dated to the first anniversary of signing the Declaration of Allied Interaction between Azerbaijan and Russia on February 22, 2022.

Earlier, the Russian FM was received by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Lavrov will today attend the conference 'Russia-Azerbaijan relations in the 21st century: strategic partnership in the context of regional security' as part of the third session of the Russian-Azerbaijani expert council.
