Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) held an official ceremony of opening the year "Shusha-cultural capital of the Turkic world - 2023" in Shusha on Friday.

The event involved officials, delegation of the TURKSOY member-states, leaders of Turkic organizations and other guests.

After the official opening ceremony, the guests watched the performances of the creative teams of the Turkic world, got acquainted with the exhibitions.

The event was organized in accordance with the order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on measures related to the announcement of the city of Shusha as the "Cultural Capital of the Turkic World" for 2023, dated December 6, 2022.
