AZTV.AZ reports that the Russian TV channels “Russia 24” and the "First” channels have made reportages about the II Summit of the World Religious Leaders held in Baku.

It was highlighted in the reportages that Baku has become an important platform for global interreligious dialogue.

It was noted in the reportage of “Russia 24” that the II Summit of the World Religious Leaders held at Baku Congress Center got underway. Representatives of different religions from 70 countries participated in the Summit.

The speech of Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill was also broadcast in the reportage. It was emphasized that the main topic of the Patriarch’s speech was multiculturalism, tolerance and interreligious dialogue. It was noted in the reportage that Patriarch Kirill awarded chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade with the first-degree “Saint Serafim Sarovsky” order for his peacekeeping activity. President Ilham Aliyev’s meeting with Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ Kirill was also mentioned. 

At the same time, Russia's “First” channel also made a reportage about the II Baku Summit of the World Religious Leaders. The significance of the issues mulled at the Summit was also touched upon.
