Projects on the modernization of the air transport in Azerbaijan, strengthening the technical base of this field are underway.

Thus, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC will purchase “Embraer E-190” new generation simulators from “FlightSafety International”. Such modern equipment has been purchased for AZAL pilots before. This time, pilots of Buta Airways will use new generation simulators. The simulators will be installed at the Preparation Center for Pilots of the National Aviation Academy. The simulator will create an opportunity for the full training and certification of Buta Airways pilots.

President of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC Jahangir Asgarov noted that the preliminary agreement on the purchase of the simulators was reached in November of this within the framework of the “Dubai Air Show-2019” exhibition.

Works on the training of specialists for Azerbaijan’s civil aviation and expansion of the technical base of the National Aviation Academy are constantly carried out.

It was emphasized that simulators will be installed for “Embraer E-190” and “Boeing 787 Dreamliner” aircrafts.

Rector of the National Aviation Academy Arif Pashayev talked about the success achieved in the field of civil aviation under the guidance of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and how the technical base of the higher education institution has been strengthened year by year. Executive Director of the Simulators Service of “FlightSafety International” John Van Maren said that this simulator was in line with the highest standards.

It is noteworthy that AZAL’s Preparation Center for Pilots has been operating since 2010. The theoretical teaching department of the Center ensures the participation of more than 300 specialists in the qualification raising courses. Four simulators important for acquiring pilot abilities and their support operate at the training-education department.
