The expansion works around Khirdalan circle are being carried out. To ensure the comfortable movement of citizens and especially to prevent traffic jams at the rush hours, in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev’s order, renovation works in the direction of Khirdalan circle and the opposite direction have been launched starting from 7.5 km of the border Baku-Guba-Russian Federation highway.
Within the framework of the renovation works around Khirdalan circle, the road is expanded in 2 lanes. Therefore, enough equipment has been deployed to the area. Taking into consideration the intensity on the highway, the works are continued without creating any obstacles for the movement. According to the project, the works are also carried out in the lower part of the existing bridges. Analogical expansion works are also planned to be carried out in the automobile tunnel of Khirdalan circle. Moreover, the tunnel will be enlarged from 2 to 4 lanes.
Furthermore, 2 additional lanes will be created in the parts going up and down the circle.
During the expansion works, it is planned to demolish the non-residential areas in accordance with the legislation by paying compensations, as well as to transport communication lines and trees. Currently, documentation works are being carried out in this regard.
To ensure the comfortable movement of transport vehicles, the renovation works of the existing roads allowing the alternative entrance and exit from Binagadi and Bilajari settlements to the highway will be carried out. Overall, in accordance with the instructions of the head of state, the renovation works are set to be completed throughout 2020.
