The voter turnout in the municipal elections in Azerbaijan has made 18.07%.

AZTV.AZ reports citing the Information Center of the Central Election Commission.

Thus, according to the information for 12:00, the number of voters has made 898 542. Overall, the number of the voters on the list is 4, 972, 356 people.

It is noteworthy that today is the municipal elections in Azerbaijan.

This year, 15, 156 members on 1, 606 municipalities will be elected. Overall, 41, 462 candidates are taking part in the elections. 13 parties participate in the elections. 3/1 of candidates are representatives of 13 parties, and 3/2 are independent candidates. 

17 international and 52, 636 local observers will observe the municipal elections.

December 23 has been declared a non-working day in connection with the elections.
