In accordance with the new laws approved by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on December 16, 2019, the right to pensions on age and benefits on age is equalized.
Since January 1, women whose age is 61 years and 6 months and men whose age is 64 years and 6 months , who do not have the right to pensions, have obtained the right to benefits on age. If before the beginning of the year, women, who did not have the right to pensions, could get the right to benefits at 62 and men, who did not have the right to pensions, obtained the right to benefits at 62, since the start of the year, the age limit is equalized with the age of the right to pensions.
The determination of benefits on age was electronized, and those people are provided with benefits online. There is no need for them to apply to any institution and handing over documents to determine benefits on age. The notification about the electronic determination and from which bank the benefit should be withdrawn will be sent via an SMS. If a citizen does not have a number on their name for an SMS, they can obtain information through 142 Call Center or from the local department of the State Social Protection Fund. Afterwards, they can receive their card from a relevant bank by presenting their ID.
Moreover, in accordance with the new legislation, the right to benefits is reduced on the number of each child for women who have five or more children and who raise them till the age of 8.
