Works aimed at the improvement of the quality of the service in tourism companies are continued. To achieve it, a new type of insurance – civil liability insurance will be applied. The purpose of this insurance is to improve the tourism market and render services meeting standards. Thus, insurance companies will carry greater responsibility before citizens.

The increase of the number of tourism companies in the country is considered a positive factor. On the other hand, this increase has a negative impact on quality. The reason is that agencies, which were created in a short period of time, do not meet any standards and do not render proper services, tarnish the reputation of the companies that have been operating in the field of tourism for many years.   

As a result, tourists form a general negative opinion about those companies. The civil liability insurance will prevent such cases and ensure the comfortable journey of citizens.

If a tourist is not satisfied with the service of the hotel he stays in, with the quality of food products, tourism companies will carry responsibility for that. Currently, more than 3, 000 tourism companies operate. The registration of these companies protects people, who travel, from any difficulty they might face.

The implementation of this service will have a positive impact on the number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan.

It is noteworthy that in the first half of 2019, 1 million 400 thousand foreigners visited Azerbaijan. In the second half of 2019, the number of foreign guests grew by 17.2%. The Association of Tourism Agencies of Azerbaijan has prepared and presented the Ethical Code to the public in order for tourism companies to render high quality service meeting standards. In addition, a new law on tourism is expected to enter into force this year, and it will serve the recovery of the tourism market.
