A pre-election campaign regarding early parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan ended at 8 o’clock today, secki-2020.az reports.

According to the Articles 72.3, 74.1.2, 74.1.4, 75.2 of the Election Code, pre-election campaigns conducted by registered candidates, political parties whose candidates have been registered, political factions, and authoritative representatives should be stopped 24 hours before the start of the voting.

The deadline for pre-election campaigns on the parliamentary elections scheduled for February 9, expires at 08.00 on February 8.

The pre-election campaign conducted by the registered candidates, political parties whose candidates have been registered, factions of political parties and their representatives and authoritative representatives started 23 days before the voting day, in other words on January 17, 2020.

In accordance with the Election Code, no election campaign or rallies are allowed on the day of voting and the day before it, which is called the Day of Election Silence.
