Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today spoken about the former head doctor of Neftchala Central Region Hospital while receiving the newly appointed heads of Executive Powers.
The head of state has highlighted that the wealth of the former head doctor detained as a result of the special operation of the State Security Service is investigated: "Bribery and corruption in Neftchala region were of systematic nature; it was solved on a systematic basis, and bribery and corruption shook all institutions. Imagine that one of the richest people of the region is the head doctor of the Central Region Hospital. Now, law-enforcement forces are obtaining information about his wealth. How has this person gained so much wealth? Is he a businessman? No. Is he an inventor? No. Has he inherited something? No. Then, at the cost of what? At the cost of the money taken from patients. Poor patients had to give money to this greedy person to ensure their health. Therefore, everyone, who follows this road, should know that there will be an end to this."
