To further strengthen the fight against the coronavirus, in accordance with the order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, it is planned to construct 6 modular hospitals for 200 people each. It is planned to construct such a hospital in Sumgayit City and another one in Absheron region. Hospitals are planned to be commissioned in one month.
The modular hospital to be constructed in Sumgayit will consist of 3 departments. Currently, concrete surface is laid for the building. The concrete surface of one of the departments has already been laid. Moreover, water, natural gas and electricity lines have been installed. The hospital will consist of 100 wards. Each of them will be provided with artificial ventilation and all the necessary equipment.
"There are two beds in each ward. Overall, it will be a 200-bed hospital. The hospital is three-hulled," Oghuzkhan Yilmaz said.
The construction of a modular hospital has also been launched in Saray settlement of Absheron region.
A modular medical facility to be built in the yard of Saray settlement hospital will have 200 beds. The hospital is planned to be provided with all the necessary equipment and commissioned in one month. Overall, in accordance with the order of the head of state "On the additional measures in the field of strengthening the fight against the coronavirus", 6 modular hospitals with 200 beds each will be constructed throughout the country.
