Azerbaijan's relations with EAEU countries have been successfully developing for more than 30 years based on traditions of friendship and mutual respect, Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov said at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Almaty.
"Last year, there were numerous mutual visits between our countries both at the level of heads of state and at the level of heads and members of governments. This serves as evidence of intensive dialogue between our countries at various levels," he said.
The prime minister recalled that last November, Baku successfully hosted the COP29 climate conference, where EAEU member partners were represented at the highest level.
"Taking this opportunity, on behalf of the Azerbaijani government, I would like to once again express gratitude for the contribution to the conference work. Azerbaijan was elected as the host country of COP29 with unanimous support from about 200 countries, including our EAEU partners. We are grateful for this support," said the politician.
He also emphasized that Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with EAEU countries in addressing global climate issues.
