The construction of 1,323 apartments in the Azerbaijan Quarter, located in the Onikisubat district of Kahramanmaras, Türkiye, has been completed, and the owners will soon receive their keys.

According to AZTV.AZ, which cites Haber Global, the buildings in the quarter are different from those in other areas because the district lies in a seismic zone. The Azerbaijan Quarter, covering 1.8 million square meters, will also host restaurants, shops, and other commercial establishments.

The television channel also highlighted the Heydar Aliyev School, built in Kahramanmaras with support from the Azerbaijani government.

The broadcast informed a wide audience about the assistance Azerbaijan provided following the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye in February 2023.

“Azerbaijan was the first country to extend a helping hand to Türkiye during this massive disaster. Azerbaijani rescue teams were the last foreign crews to leave the quake-affected provinces,” noted the channel’s correspondent, Murat Karatas.

He reminded viewers that, after the earthquakes, over 1,500 tons of humanitarian aid were sent from Azerbaijan to Türkiye.

“Aid from brotherly Azerbaijan arrived in 395 trucks, 15 airplanes, and 25 railway cars. Additionally, Azerbaijan provided financial assistance amounting to up to 300 million Turkish liras,” the reporter from the Turkish channel stated.
