Progress continues on the Horadiz-Aghband railway line, with 83% of design works and 63% of construction and installation works finalized, AZTV.AZ, citing Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.
Currently, 75.6 km of the 110.4 km long railway line along the axis (including 87 km with side tracks) has been completed, and 65.6 km of long rails have been installed.
The project involves the construction of 534 engineering structures, eight stations, and the installation of 70 track switching devices.
Once completed, the Horadiz-Aghband railway line will serve as a vital transport artery of the Zangazur corridor, connecting Azerbaijan's main territory with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. It will also play a key role in enhancing East-West-East cargo transportation as a new segment of the Middle Corridor.
