Cooperation in a number of areas can help strengthen ties between Azerbaijan and Iran, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian said in an interview with AzTV, speaking about his visit to Azerbaijan.

The head of state noted that the areas of cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan are very broad: "What should two neighboring and brotherly nations do in relations with each other? All our existing potentials and opportunities can be used in the fields of economy, industry, science and other areas to develop mutual ties."

"We don't envisage any restrictions in the areas of cooperation between the two countries. Of course, the development of relations between parliaments can be one of the steps. We can also consider strengthening ties between universities and university professors," he said.

"In addition, we can cooperate in the fields of healthcare, medicine, pharmaceuticals and medical care. Joint steps can be taken in industry, trade and within the joint projects. Interaction in the field of culture and sports can also contribute to the development of our relations," the Iranian president added.
