The second day of the international conference titled “Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas” has officially commenced in Baku.

The event is jointly organized by the Baku International Multiculturalism Center and the Center for the Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) to mark the third anniversary of the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.

The conference has brought together experts, academics, and government officials to examine the global, historical, and political roots of Islamophobia.

Over the past two years, the Baku International Multiculturalism Center and the AIR Center, in partnership with the G20 Interfaith Forum, have consistently held international conferences dedicated to combating Islamophobia. These efforts aim to support the global fight against all forms and manifestations of anti-Muslim discrimination.

Throughout the sessions, participants have explored a wide range of topics, including the need for an intersectional approach, historical and contemporary dimensions of Islamophobia, avenues for enhanced international cooperation, and the role of multilateral organizations. The conference also emphasizes the promotion of religious diversity and interfaith respect as essential pillars in the fight against intolerance.
