The contract with Fernando Santos, head coach of the Azerbaijan national football team, has been terminated by mutual agreement.
AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev announced the decision at a press conference.
For the 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Ukraine on September 9 in Baku, the team will be led by U-21 national team head coach Aykhan Abbasov.
