A group of Azerbaijani veterans attended a ceremonial event in Türkiye marking the 105th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first President of the Republic of Türkiye, being awarded the rank of Marshal, as well as Veterans Day.
The event was attended by the commanders of the various branches of the Turkish Armed Forces, as well as Major General Zaur Zeynalov, Azerbaijan’s military attaché in Ankara.
Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler addressed the participants. Yaşar Güler noted he was proud to meet with veterans and their family members and hailed the contribution made by these heroes to protecting the interests and security of Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
Yaşar Güler also expressed his special gratitude to the family members and relatives of the heroes.
The minister then attended a dinner to mark September 19 — Veterans Day in Türkiye.
