As part of his working visit to Italy, Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, met with Claudio Descalzi, Chief Executive Officer of Eni, discussing opportunities to further expand bilateral partnership.
“The exchange covered the Azerbaijan State Oil Company’s (SOCAR) participation in new initiatives with Eni and opportunities to strengthen cooperation on joint projects in third countries.
We also reviewed the progress of the joint pilot project for biofuel production in Azerbaijan and explored prospects for cooperation in the energy transition and the exchange of technological expertise,” Mikayil Jabbarov said on X.
The visit also included meeting with Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, discussing opportunities to expand bilateral partnership in industry, trade, and investment.
“The exchange covered joint projects in critical minerals, metallurgy, and digital technologies, as well as the participation of Italian companies in manufacturing projects and technology transfer in Azerbaijan.
We also explored prospects for financing initiatives aimed at industrial modernization and strengthening cooperation between the #business communities of our countries,” the minister added.
