The Armenian armed forces continue shelling Azerbaijan's residential points using heavy artillery and large-scale weapons.
Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, head of the Foreign Policy Issues Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev said: "As a result of the intentional and purposeful shelling of residential points by the Armenian armed forces, 17 civilians, including 2 children, have been killed, and 51 people have been injured. The state and private property has been damaged. These actions of Armenia once again demonstrate that Armenia is a country which is far from civil values and commits treacherous attacks against civilians and underage children. Targeting or intentional killing of civilians during military operations is a war crime. The Armenian state and Armenian political leadership are responsible for that.
As another aggressive action against our country, the Azerbaijani territory has been subjected to fire from Armenia's Gorus region. This is already the second attack committed against Azerbaijan from the Armenian territories. The first attack was committed from Armenia's Vardenis region. As a result of the missile attack, approximately 20 houses built in newly founded Jojug Marjanli village have been damaged.
We are warning the Armenian side that if Armenia does not immediately stop attacks against Azerbaijan from the Armenian territories, adequate measures will be taken against the military targets commiting the shelling."
