Azerbaijani President holds telephone conversation with Russian President

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held on October 7 a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The head of state congratulated the Russian President on his birthday, wished him new success in his statehood activity for the benefit of Russia's development and prosperity and strong health. 

Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani President for the attention and care. 

During the telephone conversation, the heads of states discussed the situation around the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. 

President Ilham Aliyev and President Vladimir Putin exchanged views on the prospects of the Azerbaijani-Russian relations.
