The land a person is born in is called motherland. Land is what comes to mind when we say "motherland".
Since birth, love in several directions is formed inside a person. One of them is love for the motherland. Why does a human being feel like the strongest one in their own motherland? Why does a person want to die in the land they were born no matter what? Why is a handful of soil considered more valuable and sacred than any jewellery when a person is abroad?
The love for the motherland starts from lullabies. As a baby grows, his attachment to the land, country, motherland and his thoughts regarding the hollyness of being a soldier deepen. The love for the motherland and native lands is preserved in our fairy tales, epics, proverbs, poems. The motherland is kept as equal to a mother. Protecting the motherland is everybody's duty.
The motherland is our existence, pride. Our numerous heroes have sacrificed their lives for the sake of our lands. The heroes, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Motherland, its freedom and independence, are never forgotten; they reach immortality.
A land becomes a motherland when there are people to die for it!

The Azerbaijani people and Army under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief have claimed victory over the occupant Armenian forces by demonstrating the unprecedented heroism and bravery. This success achieved at the cost of the lives and blood of our glorious Army is the highest indicator of Azerbaijan's strength.
We commemorate with gratitude and honor the memory of the martys, who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Shusha and many occupied territories, wish recovery, strength and power to the war veterans. The waving of the tricolor flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories is the source of pride.
To further victory and triumph in the direction of the restoration of our territorial integrity, Powerful Azerbaijan!
